Carlo Hauner

Carlo Hauner and his family operate north of Sicily on the islands called Lipari, which are of volcanic origin. On two of them (Salina and Vulcano) they grow wine, which the local soil expelled from the volcano gives something exceptional. In every drop hides the story of ancient fires, the dance of lava and life. Both white, red, and dessert wines have this volcanic character that grows from the ashes. The freshness and drinkability of Hauner's wines surprise the uninitiated.
