Gaja

Gaja is undoubtedly one of the most famous Italian wineries. It was founded by Giovanni Gaja in 1859 in Barbaresco, Piedmont, and is still managed by the Gaja family, led by the incredibly energetic and ageless Angelo Gaja. In the past ten years, Gaja has slowly moved away from the style of powerful and imposing wines and focused more on finesse and elegance. The family gradually expanded their operations beyond Piedmont and added vineyards in other renowned locations: Bolgheri, Montalcino, and Etna.
